They are 44 inches long apiece, with a shaft lit up by LEDs. From two points of that shaft hang stems, and attached to those stems are arranged lights and frames made up to resemble snowflakes. Each snowflake has six jutting branches, and the snowflake on the right side of the shaft is slightly larger than its companion. It also hangs further away from the stem than the smaller one. The linkable ornament has been designed this way for a reason. When you have 20 to 30 or more, depending on how large your roof is or how much of it you want to decorate, of these strung together, one after another, you get a zigzagging pattern, with the snowflakes alternating between being positioned further up and further down.
